On 10/02/2008 Pete Cutting competed in the VDFPA Inc. Novice / Qualifying competition in Maryborough, Victoria. He was drug tested along with other lifters.

His drug test detected the presence of a World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) banned substance.

Following due process the committee has imposed the WDFPF endorsement as ‘banned for life’
